1 billion roubles raised for the construction of infrastructure facilities in the framework of the tourism development in Pomorie

In the next three years, the Arkhangelsk Region will receive 1 billion roubles from the federal budget as part of the state programme of the Russian Federation “Development of Culture and Tourism in 2013–2020”. This was announced by Igor Orlov, the governor of the Arkhangelsk region.

The funds will be spent for construction and reconstruction of the transport infrastructure facilities to ensure the availability of the tourist attraction objects and accommodation facilities as part of the tourism and recreation cluster being established in Ustiansky District.

According to the Tourism Development Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Arkhangelsk Region, it is planned to build a new hotel complex and a sports complex for team sports and martial arts, catering and consumer services, and much more.

In addition, more than 100 million roubles are provided in the regional budget for the implementation of the cluster creation project. In 2019, 325.6 million roubles earmarked for the reconstruction of the bridge across the Vaga River (towards Ustiansky District).

The participation of the region in the state programme with the project of creating of the tourist cluster has been made possible through the entrepreneurial initiatives and ensuring the conditions of the state programme to catalyse extra-budgetary funds in the amount of more than 3 billion roubles.

"Currently, in Ustiansky District, the investor plans to create a number of new tourist facilities. Ustiansky District represented itself as a successful venue for major activities and sports events, so interest in this area will certainly grow. Therefore, our common task is to ensure the development of the infrastructure and create a package of tourist services for receiving guests", said Igor Orlov.
